Billy Williams

The longest-serving full-time employee in Minnesota State Capitol history, Billy Williams worked in the Governor's office for 52 years, alongside 14 consecutive governors! Born in downtown St. Paul in 1877, to an African American father and a white mother, Billy lived a fascinating life - a talented baseball player and gatekeeper to the Governor who was universally loved and respected by all who knew him.
