Silver Linings with Luisa Varona Granados

Just when you thought you had heard or seen it all, you come across a story that will blow you away! In this episode of The Seeking Wisdom Podcast, Joni is joined by a long-time friend, Luisa Varona Granados who candidly and wittily shares her miraculous journey of facing multiple “life sentences” with hope and faith.  The story begins in February of 2016 where she is diagnosed with an inoperable and aggressive brain tumor. From that moment, Luisa’s is forever changed, but her spirit remains the same. Her perspective on life is rooted in her upbringing on a farm, where she realized early on, that life is cyclical, and all things have a beginning and an end.  Her two sons have been the driver and motivation of every decision she has made since her initial diagnosis, including the creation of her blog #TumorClarity, a pilgrimage to Lourdes, France, divorcing her husband, and picking up the pieces of her broken heart after a near fatal heart attack and the loss of her beloved mom.   Luisa doesn’t consider herself special, but after hearing this incredible story, you may have a different opinion!    The brain tumor diagnosis is only the beginning of this odyssey filled with love, community, fear, sadness, and yes, even joy.
