Arien comes from a Swiss-Mexican background and has lived in the United States,Germany, and now in Portugal. He studied Animal Science at Texas A&MUniversity, graduating in 2016, and went on to become a researcher focusedon the human–animal relationship. He is a renowned equine trainer, teaching his approach tohorsemanship in clinics across Europe. Arien is also the author of the recentlypublished book entitled - Creating Language, in which he aims togo a step further in improving the way we communicate with our animals. Today, we’re going to have a nice conversation where we explore manyfascinating topics, including how a training experience with a giraffe turnedinto an extraordinary book, or how language shapes who we are and how weperceive the world, and whether creating taboo words is useful in ourevolutionary development. Shetravelled around the world, moving from job to job, until she discoverednatural horsemanship… and fell in love.
