SKELETAL LEAP
DEEPEST MIND SECRETS: DARK PSYCHOLOGY FACTS YOU NEED! Welcome back to the 20th episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! Today’s episode titled “Deepest Mind Secrets: Dark Psychology Facts You Need!” will tell you about physiology vs psychology and brain vs mind. Where is the seat of mind in the body? Have you ever thought about it? Mind is the reviewing faculty of brain. It never views. It only re-views what the brain has already viewed and acted upon. It happens efficiently, provided this reviewing faculty hasn’t negatively affected the spontaneous perception and action taken by the brain. Why is reviewing required? Reviewing is required to give a subjective meaning to the psychedelic perceptions and automatic actions effected by the brain. This subjective meaning imparts life with a sense of individual identity having a free will19 of its own. It makes an individual life a uniquely comprehensible story and thus makes it interesting to this reviewer that the mind is. SKELETAL LEAP, the mind body connection for mind and body healing, is a giant leap that our skeleton [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skeleton] can take through the way it postures its joints. I had stumbled upon this miracle many years ago, coincidentally DEEPEST MIND SECRETS: DARK PSYCHOLOGY FACTS YOU NEED! - SHOW NOTES Welcome back to 20th episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! In today's episode titled “Deepest Mind Secrets: Dark Psychology Facts You Need!”, I jump into the intriguing comparison of neurology versus psychology, exploring the intricate relationship between the brain and the mind. Have you ever wondered where the seat of the mind within the body is? I come up with a hypothesis that the mind functions as the reviewing faculty of the brain, engaging in a complex interplay of perceptions and actions. Discover how the mind reviews experiences to construct a subjective narrative, shaping individual identity and free will. We also examine the concept of contaminated free will, where fear influences the mind's interpretations, leading to a distortion of certain instincts namely sex, curiosity, interaction and adventure. Learn how societal norms and the superego suppress these instincts, creating a fragmented mind that struggles with internal conflicts. Furthermore, I discuss the implications of emotional constructs and how they can overshadow genuine instincts, leading to a life of mere existence rather than joyful living. This episode emphasizes the importance of recognizing and nurturing our innate instincts to reclaim our sense of passion and joy. Join me as I navigate through the complexities of human behavior, exploring how our physical postures can influence mental states and vice versa. This episode is a call to embrace the simplicity of skeletal meditations to restore balance and harmony within our mind body system. Have you ever thought about it? 0:00:07.200,0:00:24.960 Here is a hypothesis. My name is Laadi Ojas. Welcome 0:00:24.960,0:00:34.320 to “Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure”. Skeletal Leap transforms one’s life into a personal heaven. 0:00:34.320,0:00:39.680 Today’s episode will tell you about neurology vs psychology respectively 0:00:39.680,0:00:48.160 addressing brain vs mind or instincts vs emotions as far as human life is concerned. 0:00:48.160,0:00:51.440 Where is the seat of mind in the body? 0:00:51.440,0:00:57.360 Have you ever thought about it? Here is a hypothesis: 0:00:57.360,0:01:03.920 Mind As The Reviewing Faculty of Brain Mind is the reviewing faculty of brain. 0:01:03.920,0:01:11.680 It never views. It only re-views what the brain has already viewed and acted upon. It happens 0:01:11.680,0:01:18.320 efficiently, provided this reviewing faculty hasn’t negatively affected the spontaneous 0:01:18.320,0:01:24.000 perception and action taken by the brain. Why is reviewing required? 0:01:24.880,0:01:30.960 Reviewing is required to give a subjective meaning to the psychedelic perceptions and automatic 0:01:30.960,0:01:37.680 actions effected by the brain. This subjective meaning imparts life with a sense of individual 0:01:37.680,0:01:43.040 identity having a free will of its own. It makes an individual life a 0:01:43.040,0:01:51.520 uniquely comprehensible story and thus makes it interesting to this reviewer that the mind is. 0:01:51.520,0:01:59.840 The Contaminated Free Will As Ego There is a serious caveat here. The reviewer, 0:01:59.840,0:02:06.720 that’s the mind, finds it so interesting that it holds this comprehension as being the real 0:02:06.720,0:02:13.920 perception and real action. The mind decides to exercise its free will which ultimately turns into 0:02:13.920,0:02:23.040 ego that it then starts identifying itself with. Even this wouldn’t have been much of a problem, 0:02:23.040,0:02:29.920 had this free will not been contaminated. Most often, it gets contaminated by an element 0:02:29.920,0:02:36.640 of fear that stems from an overrated core of life preservative instincts. 0:02:36.640,0:02:43.760 Life begins with an innate fear of losing itself. It is this fear that is at the root of 0:02:43.760,0:02:51.680 contaminating this free will, thereby reducing it to what Richard Dawkins calls the ‘selfish gene’. 0:02:51.680,0:02:55.600 It gets subjectively attached to its own faulty apprehensions of 0:02:55.600,0:03:02.160 what constitutes a threat to life. This fear is a reaction to something 0:03:02.160,0:03:08.880 that is not a real danger and the brain may not even perceive it as a real threat. It is rather a 0:03:08.880,0:03:16.800 conceived threat that the contaminated free will of the reviewer attaches to its comprehension. 0:03:16.800,0:03:22.240 The contaminated free will is not as intelligent as the spontaneous brain. 0:03:22.240,0:03:28.000 Along with the instinct of self preservation, the brain also hands a complete list of other 0:03:28.000,0:03:35.600 instincts over to the reviewer. Instincts That We Are Born With 0:03:35.600,0:03:41.200 This is done so that the mind can review, cognize and comprehend those 0:03:41.200,0:03:50.160 instincts as the basic tenets of life, like: Eating | Drinking | Excreting | Curiosity | 0:03:50.160,0:03:59.040 Movement | Play | Adventure | Interaction | Love | Grouping | Sex | Reproduction | Parenting 0:03:59.760,0:04:05.120 All these different instincts need to be given overall inclusive emphases in 0:04:05.120,0:04:11.040 an equally exclusive manner. None less, none more! 0:04:11.040,0:04:17.520 But as we saw, the reviewer gets subjectively attached to its faulty apprehensions of threat 0:04:17.520,0:04:26.000 to life. It does so at the cost of ignoring, and at times, even suppressing a few other instincts. 0:04:26.800,0:04:32.400 The main victims to this fear of the mind are the instincts of sex, adventure, 0:04:32.400,0:04:38.800 curiosity and interaction. It apprehends them as challenging self preservation. 0:04:38.800,0:04:47.280 Sex is such a strong instinct as can make one even ignore one’s safety and security. In fact, 0:04:47.280,0:04:54.400 sex falls under the category of death instincts as opposed to the instincts of self preservation. 0:04:55.200,0:05:02.240 This categorization of mine is in contrast with the categorization conceived by Sigmund Freud as 0:05:02.240,0:05:09.680 life instincts and destructive death drives (Thanatos), as opposed to death instincts. 0:05:09.680,0:05:16.400 In fact, he had earlier started working along the idea of death instincts before he moved on 0:05:16.400,0:05:24.320 to conceptualize death drives or Thanatos. And at that time, he had categorized 0:05:24.320,0:05:32.480 sex as one of the prime death instincts. These were conceived as death instincts since they 0:05:32.480,0:05:39.280 tended to do away with ego which overemphasized instincts supporting self-preservation. 0:05:39.280,0:05:47.680 As per this initial concept, mind - as ego - apprehends these death instincts as capable of 0:05:47.680,0:05:55.200 killing its hegemonic existence. Obviously, it would never be ready to welcome or even accept 0:05:55.200,0:06:03.360 them. And even when it does so, it does so in a very lukewarm and half-hearted way. 0:06:03.360,0:06:10.000 I find this earlier concept of Freud’s more meaningful than his later concepts. 0:06:10.000,0:06:15.520 Hence I have developed my concepts along his earlier line of thought. 0:06:15.520,0:06:22.080 Here is a quote from Life and Death Drive; Freud’s Thanatos and Eros Theory: 0:06:22.080,0:06:29.280 Sigmund Freud’s theory of life and death drives evolved throughout his life and career. Initially, 0:06:29.280,0:06:36.480 he described a class of drives known as life instincts that he believed were responsible 0:06:36.480,0:06:44.720 for much of our behavior. Eventually, however, Freud came to believe that life instincts alone 0:06:44.720,0:06:50.400 could not explain all human behavior. With the publication of his book ‘Beyond the Pleasure 0:06:50.400,0:06:59.920 Principle‘ in 1920, Freud concluded that all instincts fall into one of two major classes: 0:06:59.920,0:07:08.320 life drives and death drives—later dubbed Eros and Thanatos by other psychologists. 0:07:08.320,0:07:14.560 As a result, human culture and society tag sex as the basic sin, 0:07:14.560,0:07:22.080 acting from that fearful mind’s apprehensions. The same is true of the passion and joy of 0:07:22.080,0:07:29.760 adventure. Adventure is an instinctual drive to jump into an experience that is unknown. 0:07:29.760,0:07:37.040 The more the passion, the less one is susceptible to get tamed. You can tame a bullock but never a 0:07:37.040,0:07:45.440 bull. Human culture and society, constructed over the most basic foundations of fear, needed to 0:07:45.440,0:07:52.960 tame their individuals. If they don’t get tamed, they may jump into life-threatening adventures 0:07:52.960,0:08:01.040 out of passion. Adventure and safety are two diametrically opposite things. In fact, passion 0:08:01.040,0:08:08.800 and joy are the hallmark of all death instincts, sex and adventure being the most magnetic among 0:08:08.800,0:08:17.840 those. That is how and why passion and joy are closely associated with sex and adventure. 0:08:17.840,0:08:24.960 Curiosity is something that questions culture and society’s training programs designed to provide 0:08:24.960,0:08:30.560 their individuals with safety and security, even at the cost of turning them into cogs of 0:08:30.560,0:08:39.040 ever turning wheels. The human education system is the worst example of this where students must 0:08:39.040,0:08:46.960 follow a regimen rather than satiate their curiosity. Regimen insures what students must 0:08:46.960,0:08:54.960 know in order to safeguard their future. On the other hand, curiosity flows like water toward 0:08:54.960,0:09:04.080 unknown horizons, rewarding one with insights. That is when one turns truly intelligent. Mind 0:09:04.080,0:09:11.360 prefers knowledge to intelligence. But knowledge without intelligence and insight 0:09:11.360,0:09:18.320 amounts to nothing more than stupidity and nothing less than insensitivity. 0:09:18.320,0:09:23.120 Interaction is another victim to the hegemony of self-preservation. 0:09:23.120,0:09:30.240 The more one interacts with strangers or unknown situations, the more one exposes oneself to the 0:09:30.240,0:09:39.280 risk of getting harmed. This apprehended risk gets generated out of the fear of the unknown. Hence 0:09:39.280,0:09:46.720 human culture and society prefer regimented relationship to spontaneous interaction. 0:09:46.720,0:09:55.680 Relationship is conditioned, with set protocols to follow, turning it mechanical and dull sooner 0:09:55.680,0:10:02.160 than later. Interaction is unconditional, creating its own unique designs every time 0:10:02.160,0:10:09.920 one has it afresh, turning it aesthetically much more creative. Relationship is safe, 0:10:09.920,0:10:17.920 interaction is risky. Relationship is swimming in a pond, interaction is swimming in an ocean. 0:10:18.560,0:10:23.600 Hence, human culture and society are structured on the foundation of curbing 0:10:23.600,0:10:32.560 these instincts either overtly or covertly. This is why I place these four instincts of sex, 0:10:32.560,0:10:40.160 adventure, curiosity and interaction under the category of death instincts. These are the very 0:10:40.160,0:10:48.160 instincts that tend to kill ego in the mind. That is why and how they appear to be death instincts 0:10:48.160,0:10:55.680 to the mind, in the first place. Super-ego Comprising Morals 0:10:55.680,0:11:03.120 When these instincts are suppressed, their energy gets suppressed as well. Mind has a powerful tool 0:11:03.120,0:11:10.640 to do so. The super-ego! This super-ego is a new faculty that the mind generates, 0:11:10.640,0:11:19.360 comprising morals that ought to be respected. If not, another new entity we call guilt coaxes it. 0:11:19.360,0:11:27.760 Surprisingly, guilt steals its energy from the energy of fear. The mind, through super-ego, 0:11:27.760,0:11:34.720 has thus created these two entities, fear and guilt, that are forms of another 0:11:34.720,0:11:43.600 faculty that the mind generates – emotion. What happens when energy is suppressed? And, 0:11:43.600,0:11:50.560 not only suppressed but also repressed at times. Repression means pushing the consciousness of 0:11:50.560,0:11:58.240 its suppression to the unconscious mind so that it just forgets everything about it. 0:11:58.240,0:12:04.240 But the repressed energetic content of instincts still keeps knocking on the doors of the conscious 0:12:04.240,0:12:12.240 mind. And whenever it finds an opportunity, it pushes them. Soon, it enters consciousness 0:12:12.240,0:12:19.440 stealthily when the guards sitting at the doors are snoozing. That is what our dreams are. 0:12:20.160,0:12:26.320 Not only this, even during their exile in the unconscious, these repressed instincts 0:12:26.320,0:12:32.800 don’t become fully inactive. They retain their capacity to affect the decisions taken by the 0:12:32.800,0:12:40.400 unconscious mind against its conscious reasoning. Now, let’s get back to the question: what happens 0:12:40.400,0:12:47.920 when energy is suppressed or repressed? The content and energy of said suppressed 0:12:47.920,0:12:55.440 and repressed instincts gets downgraded. A few different morals are constructed to achieve this. 0:12:55.440,0:13:03.040 Piety downgrades the powerful instinct of sex. Mind understands how powerful and inevitable 0:13:03.040,0:13:12.320 sex is. Hence it creates another sub-moral of piety called marriage as a spiritual union. 0:13:12.320,0:13:17.680 It is designed to be a monogamic sexual relationship between one man and one 0:13:17.680,0:13:24.640 woman for the rest of their lives. Humans are not designed to have their quota of sex rationed like 0:13:24.640,0:13:34.000 this. But under the respectable pressure of piety, they accept it at the conscious level. However, 0:13:34.000,0:13:40.480 their unconscious mind always keeps attracting them to others outside their marriage. 0:13:41.040,0:13:46.560 It is not only about getting attracted but also about having sex with them mentally, 0:13:46.560,0:13:54.000 if not physically…and stealthily. Thus, we see another example in which the mind 0:13:54.000,0:14:02.000 has transformed an instinct – sex – into an emotion – sexual desire. 0:14:02.000,0:14:07.520 The Fragmented Mind Mind fragments itself in many parts, 0:14:07.520,0:14:13.760 all fighting with one another all day. This infighting continually tires ‘us’ even when 0:14:13.760,0:14:20.480 ‘we’ haven’t done that much work to justify ‘our’ tiredness. We never get as tired when we enjoy 0:14:20.480,0:14:29.520 doing something as we do when we don’t enjoy it. In fact, we almost don’t get tired while enjoying, 0:14:29.520,0:14:35.680 even while doing the toughest of jobs. The mind constructs quite a few other 0:14:35.680,0:14:42.560 morals to covertly downgrade the content and energy of other death instincts as well. 0:14:42.560,0:14:50.160 It does so to curiosity and its questioning attitude through morals such as obedience, 0:14:50.160,0:14:58.080 faith, reverence, loyalty or devotion in order to avoid questioning the authority. 0:14:58.800,0:15:04.640 Real Passion Turns to Distorted Conceptual Emotions 0:15:04.640,0:15:10.560 Let’s get back to passion and joy that are the hallmarks of death instincts. What happens to 0:15:10.560,0:15:20.240 this passion and joy when the instincts turn into emotions? At worst, passion gets distorted and joy 0:15:20.240,0:15:28.160 loses its smoothness to the harshness of said emotions. At best, instinctual joy turns into 0:15:28.160,0:15:35.520 the ‘idea’ of joy which we call happiness. Happiness needs to be defined as waiting 0:15:35.520,0:15:43.280 with hope to experience joy at some point in the future. When we are actually enjoying something, 0:15:43.280,0:15:49.280 we don’t need to be ‘happy’ as we are simply enjoying it right then and there. We can 0:15:49.280,0:15:56.240 experience joy while being sad as well. Like, our skin will always enjoy the touch of winter 0:15:56.240,0:16:02.960 sun even if we are grieving. Ironically, unlike passion, 0:16:02.960,0:16:11.200 emotions always exist as pairs of opposites: Happiness - Sadness | Bravery - Cowardice | 0:16:11.200,0:16:19.120 Courage - Timidity | Confidence - Diffidence | Hope - Despair | Excitement - Boredom | 0:16:19.120,0:16:30.400 Attachment - Detachment | Anger - Guilt | Pride * Shame | Anxiety - Depression | Fear - Greed 0:16:30.400,0:16:37.360 One might wonder how fear and greed are opposite emotions. Isn’t it the fear 0:16:37.360,0:16:44.560 of losing that turns us greedy to hoard, to insure us against loss? Isn’t seeking 0:16:44.560,0:16:50.320 immortality, for example, the greedy antithesis of the fear of losing life? 0:16:51.120,0:16:56.320 Positive psychology tends to categorize emotions as positive and negative, 0:16:56.320,0:17:02.720 always siding with the positive ones. But these are the two sides of the same coin. In fact, 0:17:02.720,0:17:09.440 the negative ones are more basic, born out of the frustration of passion. Their positive 0:17:09.440,0:17:17.120 counterparts are just feel-good facades that we wear so as not to get intimidated by them. 0:17:17.840,0:17:23.440 Let me give another example here. Psychology tells us to be confident instead of being 0:17:23.440,0:17:31.360 diffident. I agree that being diffident harms us. But how does being confident help us? Let’s 0:17:31.360,0:17:37.840 take a hypothetical example. Suppose you and I are to arrive at an interview for the same 0:17:37.840,0:17:45.200 job. And both of us are equally confident. So our confidence is not going to help us at all, 0:17:45.200,0:17:51.360 simply because one of us is bound to lose. And even if both of us are diffident, 0:17:51.360,0:17:59.440 one of us is bound to win. So this advice of being confident is not really a fool-proof one. 0:17:59.440,0:18:03.920 We need to be confident only because we are basically diffident. 0:18:03.920,0:18:11.280 Isn’t it a better thing to be neither and just be natural, ready to face what naturally comes to us? 0:18:12.480,0:18:17.520 That is why all emotions are futile. They are not natural. 0:18:17.520,0:18:23.040 They are the constructs of ideas and not the realities behind them. 0:18:23.040,0:18:31.920 Satiating real instincts generates passion and joy instead of emotions like excitement and happiness. 0:18:31.920,0:18:37.360 Happiness as an emotion plays with the idea of joy rather than real joy, 0:18:37.360,0:18:45.040 which only passion can generate. Being happy for the next moment instead of enjoying this very one 0:18:45.040,0:18:52.480 is like masturbating instead of having real sex. Everyone always feels like they are missing 0:18:52.480,0:19:00.400 something in life but no one knows what! What we all are missing is joy right now, 0:19:00.400,0:19:09.120 which only passion can generate, not any emotions. Psychology has made the mind an unnaturally 0:19:09.120,0:19:16.640 complex pattern making it seem much bigger than what it really is - a reviewer. And thus, 0:19:16.640,0:19:22.400 the mind ends up negatively affecting the brain’s physiology through its nervous system 0:19:22.400,0:19:28.320 across the entire body. Let’s see exactly how. 0:19:28.320,0:19:34.080 How Emotions Affect The Body The mind, in its evolution along 0:19:34.080,0:19:40.960 human culture and human society, has fragmented itself into many parts. These fragmented parts 0:19:40.960,0:19:46.800 are always in a state of war with one another. The result is that they keep wasting their 0:19:46.800,0:19:55.520 energy. As a further result, the organism is thrown into a state that lacks energy. 0:19:55.520,0:20:02.880 Anatomically, this mind-induced state of low energy shows up as a habitually unnatural 0:20:02.880,0:20:13.040 posture of the skeleton, especially at its joints. Every single one of the skeleton’s 360 joints ends 0:20:13.040,0:20:22.320 up tucking ‘in’. Gravity plays its own part in this process by dropping those joints ‘down’. 0:20:22.320,0:20:29.360 Interestingly, in army training throughout the world, they exacerbate this problem further. They 0:20:29.360,0:20:36.320 train soldiers in tucking the shoulders ‘out’, thereby taking the effect of the mind out of the 0:20:36.320,0:20:44.160 picture, while leaving them still drooping down. This leaves the soldiers aggressively violent 0:20:44.160,0:20:51.600 rather than passively timid; a connection no one else seems to have analyzed yet. But it 0:20:51.600,0:20:55.680 has been serving their purpose of turning their soldiers ‘brave’ and they are happy 0:20:55.680,0:21:02.800 with it. This gets further worsened by the muscles in their vicinity getting rigidified 0:21:02.800,0:21:09.440 and thus changing their habitual anatomy. The same follows for the nerves and blood 0:21:09.440,0:21:16.240 vessels attached to the joints in question. And this is what gives birth to those infamous 0:21:16.240,0:21:21.840 closed chakras - or as I call them, just chakras - all along the length 0:21:21.840,0:21:29.360 of the spinal cord. If we look at it from a neurological perspective, it stops the vagus 0:21:29.360,0:21:35.840 nerve from carrying signals effectively. They block the dialogue between the gut and 0:21:35.840,0:21:42.560 the brain much needed to keep the nervous system functioning properly, materialistically speaking. 0:21:43.440,0:21:50.400 From a vitalistic point of view, this results in Kundalini being blocked in its flow between 0:21:50.400,0:21:57.920 the root and the crown chakras via Sushumna. Maybe the two approaches are ways of looking into 0:21:57.920,0:22:04.480 the same reality from two different angles! Time will tell. 0:22:04.480,0:22:10.320 Regardless, the deformed psychology of the mental structure affects the physiology of the human 0:22:10.320,0:22:17.280 body negatively. It compromises the capacity of the tenth cranial nerve to carry signals, i.e., 0:22:17.280,0:22:24.000 Kundalini flowing smooth, in an uninhibited manner. The result is a neurophysiologically 0:22:24.000,0:22:30.480 compromised nervous system of which the brain is the most central organ. That is 0:22:30.480,0:22:38.400 how a compromised mind compromises the brain as well. The brain loses its spontaneity to 0:22:38.400,0:22:44.960 think in the moment as the mind pushes it toward past and future thoughts. 0:22:44.960,0:22:48.640 What’s the way out? Either we change the 0:22:48.640,0:22:54.800 psychology of mind or the physiology of body to put it back on the right track. 0:22:54.800,0:22:59.040 If the mind can affect the body negatively, the body can affect the 0:22:59.040,0:23:06.960 mind as well and positively, at that. How Body Can Affect The Mind 0:23:06.960,0:23:14.000 Changing the psychology of the mind is an uphill task, mainly because it is vague. It very easily 0:23:14.000,0:23:21.040 makes us stray along its functional complexities without even giving any feedback. Thus, it keeps 0:23:21.040,0:23:28.800 us guessing blindly if we are on the right track. The probability of being right is way less than 0:23:28.800,0:23:34.960 being wrong. It is because there are many wrong but only one right way and we are 0:23:34.960,0:23:41.520 trying to hit the bullseye blindfolded. On the other hand, let’s look at a 0:23:41.520,0:23:48.240 miraculous physical activity that changes the psychology of the mind instantaneously. 0:23:48.240,0:23:55.520 Skydiving, apart from being an awesome sport, is also an awesome physiological meditation. Under 0:23:55.520,0:24:02.240 conditions of free fall, people tend to stop breathing. They CAN breathe although they don’t 0:24:02.240,0:24:09.120 need to. Whatever little oxygen they require is absorbed by their skin through osmosis in their 0:24:09.120,0:24:16.560 system. Its only limitation is that it is there only for the duration of 6-7 minutes it takes 0:24:16.560,0:24:24.800 to touch the ground. As this intense experience instantly changes the body’s physiology, it also 0:24:24.800,0:24:30.640 instantly changes the mind’s psychology. Here is a firsthand account of a 0:24:30.640,0:24:35.680 first-time skydiver: I was OUT…everything 0:24:35.680,0:24:46.000 mentally ended…over…started…me…perhaps more dead than alive…perhaps more alive than I will ever 0:24:47.120,0:24:55.920 be…breathing just as I had been taught…wind…wind and breath…until wind and breath became 0:24:55.920,0:25:05.120 indiscernible, became as one…and yes, almost weightless…it was true! …weightless and so 0:25:05.120,0:25:15.200 surreal…there was the earth, neither coming at me, nor me at it, …no up…no down…no me, 0:25:15.200,0:25:23.520 in the ego sense of me, just some thoughtless consciousness…and yes, it was awesome simply to 0:25:23.520,0:25:33.440 be…or not. The sky was in my lungs and it never once occurred to me would the parachute open. 0:25:33.440,0:25:40.160 Sounds like the skydiver is describing an out-of-body experience instead of a free fall! 0:25:40.160,0:25:46.160 We may be moved to think it was actually so if not for the references to wind, 0:25:46.160,0:25:53.200 earth and the parachute. Swiss scientists have recently discovered something. They sent a very 0:25:53.200,0:25:59.600 weak current to the back, right part of the brain. It triggered an out-of-body experience 0:25:59.600,0:26:06.960 for the patient. This out-of-body experience is also associated with the sensation of levitation. 0:26:06.960,0:26:13.440 They found that it could be recreated at will whenever a particular part of the brain was 0:26:13.440,0:26:20.880 stimulated by an electric current. Scientists also say that a human body has a naturally weak 0:26:20.880,0:26:28.720 electric field. Its disruption causes disease. Therefore, drugs are being designed to restore 0:26:28.720,0:26:35.440 this weak field. But the exact nature of this field is not yet fully understood. 0:26:35.440,0:26:41.280 In the process of changing its psychology, the mind needs to empty itself of all its 0:26:41.280,0:26:48.480 beliefs, including morals and emotions. It needs to be kept limited to reviewing 0:26:48.480,0:26:55.120 and comprehending what the brain supplies it with, i.e., instincts. In other words, 0:26:55.120,0:27:03.360 it needs to turn truly agnostic. It is not easy. It scares the mind to death, quite literally. 0:27:03.920,0:27:11.760 The mind really considers it as its death. That is why it stealthily keeps turning all 0:27:11.760,0:27:21.280 meditations into new visualizations, imaginations and beliefs instead of the old ones. It sheds old 0:27:21.280,0:27:29.840 beliefs and embraces new ones like old wine in a new bottle. And it does so just in order not to 0:27:29.840,0:27:36.640 get caught for trying to keep its death away. That is why and how mental and spiritual 0:27:36.640,0:27:43.600 meditations, at times, get reduced to performing pious rituals alone. 0:27:43.600,0:27:50.480 Skeletal Meditations Are Meditations of Body As Opposed to Meditations of Mind 0:27:50.480,0:27:58.960 The ways of the body are concrete, however subtle they may be. We can always put a finger on them, 0:27:58.960,0:28:06.320 sometimes quite literally, guiding them back on the track, as and when required. 0:28:06.320,0:28:10.080 We don’t need to go for rituals of limited durations. 0:28:10.080,0:28:16.560 We need to learn and be in the right meditative state 24 x 7 x 365. And we 0:28:16.560,0:28:21.760 need to do so in order to make it the first nature of our mind-body system. 0:28:22.560,0:28:28.480 It is much easier to do it with the body than the mind. This way, every single moment can 0:28:28.480,0:28:35.040 be the moment of meditation without the need to celebrate it as some kind of achievement. 0:28:35.040,0:28:41.520 Skeletal meditations work physiologically, aiming to turn the anatomy and physiology of the body 0:28:41.520,0:28:48.720 and the brain back to their natural functions. They’re meant to stay that way consciously 24 x 7 0:28:48.720,0:28:56.320 x 365 until they become one’s first nature. This can only happen when the mind has shed 0:28:56.320,0:29:02.160 all the psychological myths it had been living with all through one’s life. It needs to accept 0:29:02.160,0:29:10.400 the brain as its guide in its only role as reviewer and comprehender of its perceptions. 0:29:10.400,0:29:17.440 Being tangible, skeletal meditations are much faster and simpler than mental or spiritual 0:29:17.440,0:29:24.560 meditations. We just need to understand how to rightly posture our skeletal joints and 0:29:24.560,0:29:30.480 then make it our first nature. Once this is successfully done, 0:29:30.480,0:29:35.360 Skeletal Leap is in place. We are on the verge of 0:29:35.360,0:29:43.120 revolutionizing our bipedal evolution, taking it to its culmination via Skeletal Leap. 0:29:43.120,0:29:50.160 Let’s do it for ourselves today and for the sake of our next generations tomorrow. 0:29:50.160,0:29:57.520 Thanks for listening to this episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure!
