the answers to all your Q's are in this ep! Ok maybe not all the qs but its a great start! I answer some listener Q's mixed with Vogue's 73 questions (just because I love watching those and I feel like you get to know the most random things about people lol). Bringing this ep to the mic isn't all for the good of the people, I have to admit I wanted to talk to my long held fear of being perceived as well. I know that sounds weird - since I have this podcast, but truthfully the pod has helped me find my voice and let go of the fear of being judged on what I say or how I say it in many profound ways. Unpacking Love, Spirituality & Purity Culture

Hiatus nooor moooor!! “Why not start being who I want now?” – Bethany Cummins is back y’all! I am so very happy to have Beth back on the podcast to spill the tea on some of our all time favourite topics – LOVE, RELATIONSHIPS and RELIGION. I wanted to have this chat because the editing SWTS has made me realise, I say “love that” way too much but I am also just being honest...I really do love  a lot I can't help it! Beth, whom I suspect has a lot of Taurus in her birth chart is a lover of all things like me and has a knack for seeing the beauty and appreciating the small moments. I couldn’t think of a better co-host to bring the pod into 2024 for an episode very close to our hearts(literally). Think of this ep as  sneak peak into our minds and voice notes! One thing about Beth and me, we do love to  dissect and swap stories on how our thoughts on love and relationships were deeply affected by conservative religion and purity culture growing up. It's a complex and difficult intersection to talk about particularly when shame and guilt have been interwoven with such deeply ingrained beliefs. Which is why we are so proud to bring this convo to the mic and out into the world - to hopefully provoke thought and maybe give you insight into what it's like to have to deprogram your mind from harmful conditioning as it pertains to love and relationships. Just not into that old trope about the thin line between love and hate, how being raised religiously affects your ability to express and receive love, cultural and familial expectations placed on young women to get married and how generations of forced marriage can manifest as repression and trauma, debunking the harmful conservative view that we as humans are not worthy of love and pleasure. Sooo what's the sitch Emma! Welcome into this special guest debrief with Actress, Fitness & Wellness Coach and 'Extra' Friend Emma Lund! Emma surprised me with a bday candle and serenade (bless - she's the sweetest!) We planned to chat about acting/self tapes but in true SWTS style we went where the convo took us! From why there's no need to panic about turning thirty, being open and trying new things that our old selves would have been too scared to do and the wild process of unpacking old limiting beliefs and reinventing your mindset and life for the better.
