Dr. Greg Beaman recently successfully defended his doctoral dissertation at Georgetown University. He is an historian of Atlantic Slavery and has written about urban development, built environment, and spatiality in 18th and 19th century New Orleans.

Eduardo Prado Cardoso is a PhD student at Catolica Lisboa. He was a scriptwriter in Brazil and studied cinema. Eduardo is interested in how news and visual storytelling creates a narrative of crimes, especially violent crimes, and how this representation can be sensationalized.
