When the blind receive sight, when prayers are answered, when something undeniable happens—it feels easy to say, “Yes, Lord, I believe.” But what about when the prayers feel unanswered? When the healing doesn’t come? When life feels heavy,uncertain, or even unfair?

Sons and daughters each bring their own challenges, their own joys, and their own battles. They stretch us in different ways. They test us in different ways. And they require different kinds of prayer.

It’s something a friend often reminds me to do — she has this gentle way of dropping truth that somehow lands right where I need to hear it.
