The Gospel message that God loves us, sin messed up everything, and Jesus came to die for our sin and restore everything should shape our whole lives. We are not called to be one foot “involved in our faith” and one foot pursuing our own desires. We are called to be 2 feet in for Jesus who we love with our whole being. CHASTITY IS A MATTER OF THE HEART- “To love is to Will the good of another” CCC 1766, St. Thomas Aquinas In its fullness: it's looking outward toward my beloved and seeking what is best for that person, not just what is good for me.” Freedom exists for the sake of love, meaning there are sacrifices we will need to make when we are in love. Or are we just living side by side, sharing resources and occasional good times together while we selfishly pursue our own interests and enjoyments in life?
