David Mills - the father of Klein Collins student Kailee Mills - who lost her life in a recent car accident - talks about the Foundation that has been started in her name, and the mission and message they plan to promote about seatbelt safety and awareness. We chat with Klein HS graduate Rischad Whitfield - better known around town as "The Footwork King" @footwork_king1 , who has built himself a tremendous, secret little football workout facility that all of the best players in the Spring Klein area have gravitated to. A personal trainer and fitness expert, his camp near Hwy 249 & Jones Rd, even has big name college and NFL players frequently stopping by.

Klein Football is off to a strong start with a 27-7 win over Fort Bend Marshall to open the odd, abbreviated 2017 season. The Bearkats look to take a step forward, from middle-of-the-pack in district to competing for a league title and making a deep run in the playoffs. Jason Glenn, a collegiate (Texas A&M) standout and former NFL (NYJ) player, is the first new football head coach at Klein Oak in 22 years. Glenn waited until he and his trusted mentors - guys like brother Aaron Glenn and Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin - felt he was ready, but since taking the Panthers head coaching job, Glenn has been firing on all cylinders, trying to build an athletic powerhouse in the mold of in-district rival Klein Collins under head coach Drew Svoboda.
