Writing Center
For the final episode of the student resource mini-series I interviewed writing consultant Emma Lyon about the services the Engineering Writing Center offer students. She and I talked all about why written communications skills are important for engineering students and about how to best use the writing center.
Tutoring Center
In episode six of the student resource miniseries, I interviewed the Spring 2022 assistant manager of the engineering tutoring center, Dylan Rodabough. Dylan told me about the student support the center offers and about the data-based benefits student who use the center enjoy.
Computer Lab
The engineering computer lab is located on the third floor of the College of Engineering building. In episode five of the student resources mini-series, I interviewed Abbie Hutchings, the Spring 2022 lab supervisor to learn more about what the computer lab offers to students.
Ambassadors
For episode four of the College of Engineering podcast, I interviewed Dalton Yerke, one of Spring 2022 College Ambassadors. A main focus of the ambassadors’ work is recruiting; however, ambassadors also offer support current college of engineering students. In my conversation with Dalton, he told me about ambassador office hours and the resources students can access there.
