Sell What You Possess

Today, I'm discussing the story of the rich young man from the gospel of Matthew. (Matthew 19:16-30) We are called by Jesus to sell what we possess in order to place God above everything. In the case of the rich young man, it's money. In your case, it is whatever you put above God in your personal hierarchy.

Remove the Heart of Stone

This week, I am reflecting on a person's heart that I resent; my own. From when I was just getting married, that is. I am learning to forgive the old me, the person that didn't understand emotion and how to love, but has been shown how to love, what that means and where it comes from. The Heart is Deceitful

Today I am reading and discussing Jeremiah 17:1-11, as well as my new song that it's based on, "(Deceitful) Above All Things", which is out now. Our hearts are etched with sin, like the tribe of Judah that Jeremiah was prophesying to. We can't trust that heart, rather the regenerated heart that is only given through Christ. Staying connected to the vine is the truth for a Christian. The outgrowth of the truth and connection is prayer, and the visible expression of that is love and joy.
