Surf Report for Jacksonville Florida
Good morning, this is your Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia surf zone forecast for Friday, June 5th through Tuesday, June 9th, 2026. Let's kick things off with today's conditions along the Florida coast. We're looking at surf heights of three to four feet with a high rip current risk in effect through late tonight. That means life-threatening rip currents are likely in the surf zone, so pay close attention if you're heading into the water. The water temperature is hovering around eighty degrees, which should feel pretty refreshing. It'll be partly cloudy out there with highs in the mid-eighties and east winds around ten miles per hour, increasing to about fifteen in the afternoon. The UV index is very high today, so don't forget your sunscreen. We're not expecting any thunderstorms, but those rip currents are definitely the story today, so swim near a lifeguard and avoid fighting the current if you get caught in one. Moving down to the Georgia coast, conditions are slightly calmer. We've got a moderate rip current risk in effect with two to three foot surf. It'll be mostly sunny with highs in the mid-eighties, east winds five to ten miles per hour increasing to ten to fifteen in the afternoon, and water temperatures in the upper seventies. Saturday looks better across the board. The Florida beaches will see a shift down to moderate rip current risk with surf dropping to two to three feet. Expect mostly sunny skies, highs in the mid to upper eighties, and southeast winds five to ten miles per hour becoming east and increasing to around fifteen in the afternoon. Same story in Georgia with moderate rip currents, two to three foot surf, mostly sunny conditions, and those same wind patterns. Sunday through Tuesday we're tracking a general trend toward smaller, more manageable conditions. Sunday brings one to two foot surf in Georgia and two to three foot surf along the Florida beaches with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper eighties. Monday looks similar with mostly cloudy skies but still pleasant overall. Tuesday introduces a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms as we head into mid-week, but nothing too dramatic. So here's the bottom line for your weekend plans. If you're heading out today, respect that high rip current risk and stay alert. Saturday conditions improve nicely with moderate risk levels and manageable surf. The extended forecast beyond that looks solid with sunshine and summer warmth. Whether you're in Nassau, Duval, or Flagler County in Florida, or over in Glynn and Camden Counties in Georgia, you're looking at a pretty nice stretch ahead. Just keep an eye on those rip currents today and you'll have great beach days ahead. For more http://www.quietplease.ai Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta
