We're looking at a moderate risk of rip currents in effect for today, so if you're heading into the water, stay alert and aware of those dangerous currents that can form in the surf zone. The good news is the waves are keeping it mellow at two to three feet, perfect for a variety of skill levels. Today's shaping up to be absolutely beautiful with sunny skies and highs in the mid eighties along the Northeast Florida coast, climbing to the upper eighties down in the Georgia beaches. Winds will start light out of the south around five miles per hour this morning, then shift to the east and increase to around fifteen miles per hour by afternoon. Water temperature is sitting nice and warm at seventy five to eighty degrees. Just keep in mind the UV index is very high today, so slather on that sunscreen generously and reapply frequently. Tides are shifting throughout the day. If you're in the Jacksonville area, expect low tide around six forty one in the morning with high tide rolling in around twelve forty two in the afternoon. Up in Fernandina Beach, low tide hits at seven nineteen with high tide at one forty four. And if you're over in St. Augustine, you're looking at low tide at six forty eight and high tide at twelve fifty. Moving into Friday, we're keeping that moderate rip current risk in place. Surf heights stay consistent at two to three feet, and we'll see mostly sunny skies with just a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms developing. Highs again in the mid eighties with southeast winds ten to fifteen miles per hour. Down in Georgia, heat index values could reach up to one hundred two degrees, so stay hydrated. Looking ahead to the extended period, Saturday and Sunday bring a slight increase in surf to three to four feet up in Northeast Florida with a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Georgia beaches stay at two to three feet. Both days remain mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper eighties and light southeast winds. Finally, Memorial Day Monday wraps up the holiday weekend with three to four foot waves in North Florida and two to three feet in Georgia. Mostly sunny skies, just a slight chance of showers, highs in the mid to upper eighties, and southeast winds around fifteen miles per hour. Have a fantastic and safe day out there on the water! Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia Surf Zone Forecast Two to Three Foot Waves Moderate Rip Current Risk

# Surf Zone Forecast Report for Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia Good morning! Here's your comprehensive surf zone forecast for the Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia beaches, issued early Sunday morning by the National Weather Service in Jacksonville. Starting with today, we're looking at two to three foot surf across the Northeast Florida beaches, including Jacksonville Beach, St. Augustine, and the Fernandina Beach area. A moderate risk of rip currents is in effect, so swimmers and waders should exercise caution and be aware of those strong, narrow currents that can pull you away from shore. The water's warming nicely with temperatures in the lower eighties. Weather-wise, expect partly cloudy skies throughout the day with absolutely no thunderstorm potential. However, the UV index is running very high, so sunscreen is definitely your friend out there. Winds will start light from the south around five miles per hour this morning, then shift to the east southeast and pick up to ten to fifteen miles per hour by afternoon. High temperatures will reach the mid to upper eighties. For tide times at Jacksonville Beach, expect low tide around seven forty-nine in the morning and high tide just after two o'clock in the afternoon. Moving into Monday, the moderate rip current risk continues along Northeast Florida beaches. Surf heights remain steady at two to three feet with partly cloudy conditions and another day free of thunderstorms. It'll be slightly warmer, with highs climbing into the upper eighties. Winds will be lighter, starting from the south southwest around five miles per hour, then becoming easterly around ten miles per hour by afternoon. Jacksonville Beach will see low tide at eight thirty-eight in the morning and high tide at two fifty-six in the afternoon. Now, heading down to the Georgia coast at St. Simons Island and Brunswick, today brings around two feet of surf with that same moderate rip current risk in effect. The water there is running about eighty degrees. Partly cloudy skies, very high UV, and no thunderstorm potential. Winds are similar, starting light from the south then becoming east southeast around ten miles per hour. High temperatures will hit the upper eighties. Low tide at St. Simons Island comes at seven fifty-one in the morning with high tide at one fifty-two in the afternoon. Here's some good news for the Georgia beaches on Monday. The rip current risk drops to low, which is a welcome improvement. Surf heights will be smaller at one to two feet under partly cloudy skies. It'll be warmer too, with highs in the upper eighties to near ninety. Winds stay light from the southwest in the morning, becoming southeast five to ten miles per hour by afternoon. St. Simons Island will see low tide at eight forty-three in the morning and high tide at two forty-four in the afternoon. Looking ahead to the extended forecast, Tuesday shapes up to be mostly cloudy with one to two foot surf across Georgia and two to three feet along Northeast Florida. Highs will settle back into the mid eighties with light east winds. Wednesday brings mostly sunny skies and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms developing. Surf remains one to two feet in Georgia and two to three feet in Florida with mid to upper eighties for highs and east winds around ten miles per hour across Florida. Thursday rounds out the outlook with mostly sunny conditions, another slight chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, and similar surf and temperature trends continuing through the week. Remember, even though rip current risk may be low, these dangerous currents can still develop around structures like groins, jetties, reefs, and piers, so stay alert whenever you're in the water. Northeast Florida Southeast Georgia Beach Forecast Two to Three Foot Surf This Weekend Moderate Rip Current Risk

Good morning! Here's your surf zone forecast for Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia this weekend, brought to you by the National Weather Service Jacksonville. Let's start with today. If you're heading to the beach, expect two to three foot surf along the Florida coast, with slightly smaller one to two foot waves down in Georgia. The water's sitting pretty in the lower eighties up north and around eighty degrees down south, so it's going to feel great out there. Mostly sunny skies will greet you, with a very high UV index, so don't forget that sunscreen. Winds will start light from the southeast at five to ten miles per hour this morning, then shift to the east and pick up to ten to fifteen miles per hour this afternoon. Now here's the important part: a moderate risk of rip currents is in effect for the entire area. Life threatening rip currents are possible in the surf zone, so if you do venture into the water, swim near lifeguard stations and know the signs of a rip current. Remember, if you get caught in one, don't panic. Swim parallel to the shore until you escape the current's pull. Tide wise, expect low tides in the morning and high tides just after one o'clock for most Florida beaches. Down in Georgia, highs will come around one to two in the afternoon. Moving into Sunday, conditions remain pretty similar. We're still looking at that moderate rip current risk with two to three foot surf in Florida and one to two feet in Georgia. Partly cloudy skies will take over, with highs climbing to the mid to upper eighties. Winds will be lighter to start, around five miles per hour from the south, then turn southeast and build to ten to fifteen miles per hour by afternoon. Water temperatures hold steady, and no thunderstorms are expected. High tides shift about an hour later on Sunday compared to Saturday. Looking ahead to the extended forecast, Monday brings partly sunny skies with similar two to three foot surf along Florida's coast. Tuesday sees the waves backing down to one to two feet under mostly cloudy skies. By Wednesday, we'll see partly sunny conditions with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms developing. Temperatures stay consistent in the upper eighties throughout the extended period. Overall, this is a great weekend to get to the beach. Just respect those rip currents, stay hydrated with that intense UV index, and enjoy the summer vibes. Get out there and have fun! Northeast Florida Southeast Georgia Surf Forecast June 5-9 2026 High Rip Current Risk Friday

Good morning, this is your Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia surf zone forecast for Friday, June 5th through Tuesday, June 9th, 2026. Let's kick things off with today's conditions along the Florida coast. We're looking at surf heights of three to four feet with a high rip current risk in effect through late tonight. That means life-threatening rip currents are likely in the surf zone, so pay close attention if you're heading into the water. The water temperature is hovering around eighty degrees, which should feel pretty refreshing. It'll be partly cloudy out there with highs in the mid-eighties and east winds around ten miles per hour, increasing to about fifteen in the afternoon. The UV index is very high today, so don't forget your sunscreen. We're not expecting any thunderstorms, but those rip currents are definitely the story today, so swim near a lifeguard and avoid fighting the current if you get caught in one. Moving down to the Georgia coast, conditions are slightly calmer. We've got a moderate rip current risk in effect with two to three foot surf. It'll be mostly sunny with highs in the mid-eighties, east winds five to ten miles per hour increasing to ten to fifteen in the afternoon, and water temperatures in the upper seventies. Saturday looks better across the board. The Florida beaches will see a shift down to moderate rip current risk with surf dropping to two to three feet. Expect mostly sunny skies, highs in the mid to upper eighties, and southeast winds five to ten miles per hour becoming east and increasing to around fifteen in the afternoon. Same story in Georgia with moderate rip currents, two to three foot surf, mostly sunny conditions, and those same wind patterns. Sunday through Tuesday we're tracking a general trend toward smaller, more manageable conditions. Sunday brings one to two foot surf in Georgia and two to three foot surf along the Florida beaches with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper eighties. Monday looks similar with mostly cloudy skies but still pleasant overall. Tuesday introduces a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms as we head into mid-week, but nothing too dramatic. So here's the bottom line for your weekend plans. If you're heading out today, respect that high rip current risk and stay alert. Saturday conditions improve nicely with moderate risk levels and manageable surf. The extended forecast beyond that looks solid with sunshine and summer warmth. Whether you're in Nassau, Duval, or Flagler County in Florida, or over in Glynn and Camden Counties in Georgia, you're looking at a pretty nice stretch ahead. Just keep an eye on those rip currents today and you'll have great beach days ahead. For more http://www.quietplease.ai Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Northeast Florida Southeast Georgia Surf Forecast June 3-7 High Surf Advisory Six to Nine Foot Waves Wednesday Thursday

Good morning, this is your Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia surf forecast for Wednesday, June third through Sunday. We're starting off with some serious Atlantic action today, folks. A High Surf Advisory is in effect until five AM Thursday, so if you've got the day off, get down to the beach early. We're looking at six to nine feet of surf along the Northeast Florida coast, with slightly smaller four to seven foot sets down in the Southeast Georgia area. These waves are going to be driven by some gusty northeast winds around twenty miles per hour, with gusts pushing thirty-five miles per hour near Jacksonville. Here's the thing though, and this is really important: we've got a High Rip Current Risk in effect through Friday afternoon. That means life-threatening rip currents are likely in the surf zone. So if you're heading out, know what you're doing and respect those currents. The water temperature is a pleasant eighty-one degrees, and we'll see mostly cloudy skies early giving way to mostly sunny conditions by afternoon. The good news is we're still dealing with that High Rip Current Risk, but conditions will be considerably more favorable than today. Looking ahead to Friday, the action continues to wind down. Expect two to four foot surf and mostly sunny skies with just a slight chance of showers. Temperatures climb to the lower eighties with light east winds around ten miles per hour. By Saturday, we're in cleanup mode. Waves drop to a manageable two to three feet, mostly sunny skies dominate, and highs reach the lower eighties. It's looking like an excellent day to get out there if you missed the earlier swell. Sunday finishes out the weekend with one to two foot surf down Georgia way and two to three feet up north. More sunshine, highs in the mid to upper eighties, and just a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms developing later in the day. Southeast winds stay light at around five miles per hour. So here's the bottom line: today and tomorrow are your prime windows with significant swell and good conditions, but always respect those rip currents. By the weekend, things mellow out nicely, but you'll still have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the water. Stay safe out there.
