Description

Directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is the animated adventure comedy film based on Nintendo’s Mario video game franchise. It is the sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) and is once again produced by Illumination and Nintendo. Princess Rosalina (Brie Larson), the adoptive mother of the Lumas living in the Comet Observatory, is kidnapped by Bowser Jr. (Benny Safdie), who plots to drain her power to create life to fuel a universe-destroying cannon in honour of his father, Bowser (Jack Black), who was defeated by Mario (Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day). Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), Toad (Keegan-Michael Key), and their new pal Yoshi (Donald Glover), venture into space, exploring cosmic worlds and tackling galactic challenges far from the familiar Mushroom Kingdom. We break down all things cameos, references, easter eggs, and the all important plot.
