Robert: A Love Song for Tammy

On this very special episode of That Takes Me Back we are joined by Kelan's dad, Robert. Robert shares his beautiful love story with his late wife, Tammy. Alberto: Bye Bye Buddy!

For the second episode of That Takes Me Back, hosts Kelan David and Maia Sage had Buddy in the studio to share stories about his late father. Alberto senior influenced Buddy's life significantly, including that nickname which has prompted many "Bye Buddy, I hope you find your dad!" (it's kind of dark, we know, but he laughs). Buddy recounted playing a trumpet solo in his high school jazz band for a song his father requested. Now that song always takes him back to his dad, along with a couple others. The conversation delved into Buddy's father's life, Buddy's memories of him, and the impact of his passing on Buddy and his family. Here are the songs mentioned: 1. "In the Mood" by Glenn Miller - This was the main song discussed by Buddy. He played this song on trumpet in his middle school jazz band at his father's request, and it was also played at his father's funeral. 2.
