Mother's Day can be a such a wonderful and happy time for so many people. All over we get together to celebrate our Mom's and shower her with love and affection. For Mother's themselves, it's a day to love on their kids and enjoy the benefits of motherhood. For others, this day can also be a painful reminder of what was lossed. A mother, a sister, a grandmother or even a child itself. Today I open up and share about my experience with loss and how it has impacted me in relation to Mother's Day. Self-Awareness: 32 Years of Dating Me!

Today I talk about self-awareness and what it means and looks like to me at (almost) 32. I also give some helpful hints into how you can start your self-awareness journey and/or put your current awareness into action. Awareness is half the battle. It's what you do with it that matters.

Quarantine VS Incarceration

One month into a statewide shelter in place order and many people are starting to feel trapped, boxed in, and comparing those feelings to being incarcerated. Today I give my thoughts on that comparison and discuss why I think it's inaccurate. I discuss the differences between the reality of being locked up and a stay at home order. I talk about how those labels subconsciously influence or dictate how we end up treating people. Whether we treat them good or bad.
