Two Announcements: I'm Retiring This Podcast and the Audacity Bootcamp Online School

I have two important announcements to share in this final episode of the Audacity Channel podcast. First, I've made the decision to retire this podcast in favor of going all in on my Audacity Training YouTube Channel. This podcast will be going away soon and this is the final episode.  Second, I'm also shutting down the Audacity Bootcamp online school for the time being. If you've enrolled in either or both of my courses there, Audacity Step-by-Step: Beginner to Advanced, or ACX Audiobook Production Using Audacity, this decision affects you. Last week I sent an email to the students in both courses explaining the action that needs to be taken but some have opted out of receiving emails from me, so you may not be aware of my decision. For those students enrolled in either or both of the above courses, the videos in those courses are now available for you to download. This only applies to the students enrolled in those two courses. The Legacy Compressor and Legacy Limiter in Audacity 3.6.2

Audacity version 3.6.2 is out and it includes the Legacy Compressor and the Legacy Limiter that were part of Audacity prior to version 3.6. The New Limiter and Compressor in 3.6.0 and 3.6.1 Are Not Compatible With Macros Written For Earlier Versions

If you're running a macro that was built for earlier versions of Audacity prior to 3.6.0, and part of that macro includes the Limiter and/or Compressor, it's probably going to fail when invoked. The reason is that the new versions of these plugins have been rewritten for realtime use and the setting options have changed. In this episode I suggest 3 options as a workaround.
