The BBC - Bigger Better Conversations
On this official first of many #WCW (Women Crushing It Wednesday) episodes, my homegirl Alissa and I talk about what she's doing these days to crush it! As a full-time college student nearing graduation and working two part-time jobs, all while in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, there's a lot of uncertainty about what the future holds. She's got a lot on her plate but still grinding, surviving, thriving, and navigating reflective thoughts and how to be intentional and protective of her time and energy. In this time of change and transition from late-nights and hangovers to ambitions and long-term goals, we talk about how things, times, and people around us are changing and what kind of vibes, energy, and contributions they bring into our lives. Our conversation takes us into talking about relationships - platonic, intimate, romantic, etc. - and figuring out which ones are uplifting, supportive, and beneficial vs. toxic. Eventually, we come to the conclusion that of all the relationships that come and go in our lives, the one we have with ourself is the most important and where we need to be the most aligning and intentional. Bottom line: Time and energy are the most valuable things we can give to anyone; the most important person to start with is ourselves.
