The Charlotte Mason Method is what guided me in my early homeschooling years, and it bore beautiful fruit as the children grew into happy, articulate teenagers. Education is a life style that best begins when children are young. The goal is that they will love learning for the rest of their life I did not learn that way as a child myself, but part of my homeschool dream was to learn again with my children and love it alongside them. There is much in daily life that children absorb without our realizing it, this is part of their education that happens naturally. Teach them how to make connections between what they observe and what they know.
