FTBT - Ep. 08 - Road Trip (fixed, sort of)

I've fixed it! Sort of. This episode was unusable, or so I thought. For some reason the recording of this went all crackly in parts. A lot of it is bearable but there's a small section which was completely unlistenable. You might not think I have any respect for the listener with the rambling, unedited nature of this pod, but I actually do! I have a bit. So I rerecorded over that bit to cover what I'd said in that section. This week's episode is the Road Trip episode and it's a corker. I got so into it that I almost cried. Perhaps it was from a coughing fit but also slightly because I'm a really good actor who has told himself, and yourself, an emotional story. This one COULD be a movie, I'm telling ya! FTBT - Ep. 09 - Ghosts

NB. Episode 8 has been recorded but encountered some technical difficulties so I'll rerecord it from where it all went wrong. Today also had a major technical disaster but we're soldiering on. I spilt my water bottle in my bag and my mic got soaked so I'm surprised it works at all. I did some test runs and it seemed fine but it sounds like there's still some crackling on the recording at the beginning. It does go away eventually though. I wouldn't usually put this out but since I missed last weeks I had to put this out. The theme this week is ghosts! I've never been a horror fan because they give me the creeps so my knowledge of ghost movies may be a bit route one. I actually almost shed a tear during this one from my actual acting! That's something to be proud of. Tears were in the scene and tears were delivered... partly due to a coughing fit but that's neither here not there. FTBT - Ep. 07 - Tearjerker/Oscar-worthy

Back plodding along the canal once again. Today, what I thought would be a challenging ask turned out to have some legs to it (pardon the pun (you'll get it once you've listened)). This would be the perfect inner city walking route for podcasts, if it weren't for those pesky geese. There's something so sinister and intimidating about them, how they hiss at you whenever you pass, exposing those tiny little teeth. What's their problem? FTBT - Ep. 06 - Vampires

This is a day late and now, if I don't get my act together, they'll all be a day late. Perhaps Friday is the new Thursday. This time, I headed towards town, combining the podcast record with a trip to the charity shop. Don't worry, I don't take you into the shop with me. Instead, I broke my 'no editing' rule. I'm sure you'll be grateful. This week was a welcome return to form, I'd like to think. Vampires is a good genre for this format; specific and with enough tropes to get me to pin down an idea. I will say this, once again, there's something in the idea that came out. Obviously, I wouldn't hand in this recording as my pitch. There would be some workshopping needed but the bones are there. I won't say too much as I think you enjoy hearing the ideas come out, and like to think about where you might take the story yourself. So settle in for a tale of vampires. FTBT - Ep.05 - Aliens

Perhaps psychologists, in a year, will look back on this podcast as a means of tracking my descent into madness... yet I continue. I like to think of it as a one-man social experiment. Can someone entertain themselves, with their own thoughts, for over an hour? The answer is yes, but are those thoughts coherent? Probably not. I started optimistically this week, leaping onto a conspiracy theory about aliens from the get-go. There could be a story within that idea, but I was dealing with things far too complicated to be spouted out in an hour, and I soon lost the plot. I also brought up some very current issues concerning nuclear war, but that's what happens when you need to keep the story moving. Onwards and upwards!
