It is important to recognize reality versus perception of time when it comes to our health and daily practices. Getting Spiritual!

Spiritual health is one of the pillars of total wellness and health.   We brought in guest Ken Wasilewski, a theologian and ethics instructor to nursing students to share his expertise to why this is important and how truly spirituality and practices can influence our health!   Some things discussed: -Benefits for a person from a mental or even physical standpoint in creating, cultivating and nurturing our spiritual health -The difference between spirituality and religion and discussion if the two can be separated or if they should be fused together.  -The diversity of the world, from cultural practices to varying viewpoints on a variety of topics today, including Covid and the vaccine and  ways that we should be respectful and tolerant of one another in today’s world, even if they may not align with our own.  Tips on how to handle such situation   -How Covid and the pandemic have altered spiritual health.    -Shared how hospital settings address cultures and faith and how treatment plans can  incorporate spirituality.
