Climate change is an overwhelming issue. It can appear insurmountable, especially when we're confronted with dire scenarios, such as the one brought about by a recent UN report positing we have about a decade to avoid a globally destructive climate change disaster. It's almost impossible to fathom. But does it get easier to comprehend once you've been through a natural disaster yourself?
