The Early Hours
Our Super Bowl 60 match up is set! The New England Patriots will face off against the Seattle Seahawks for a repeat of Super Bowl 49. In the AFC Championship, the Patriots punched their ticket to the big game with a gritty 10-7 victory over the Broncos in a snowy, defensive slugfest in Denver. New England leaned on a stout defence and some clutch plays from rookie QB Drake Maye, who did more with his legs than his arm (including the game’s lone touchdown) to help ice the win in frigid conditions. Despite Denver’s top-ranked defence all season, the Broncos’ offence struggled to get untracked, and backup QB Jarrett Stidham couldn’t consistently get anything going in what turned out to be a low-scoring, hard-nosed battle. On the NFC side, the Seahawks edged the Rams 31-27 in a nail-biter to reach their fourth Super Bowl in franchise history. Seattle’s offence delivered a huge day with multiple touchdown passes, while the defence came up with key stops late - including a critical goal-line stand on fourth down to preserve the lead. The Rams fought back behind Matthew Stafford’s big numbers, but costly errors and missed opportunities down the stretch ultimately swung momentum Seattle’s way. This thrilling finish sets up a classic Patriots vs. Seahawks showdown in Santa Clara. We break down the biggest storylines, X-factors to watch, and what these games mean for Super Bowl LX - two games down, one to go. Hit play and let’s dive in!
