In celebration of International Mountain Day and YSEALI YOUnified*, this episode features Cynthia Chin and Liew Suet Fun to delve into their time in the Bario highlands of Sarawak and Larut Hills in Perak. Join Cynthia and Suet Fun as they share their thoughts on the difference in lifestyles, societal norms and cultural shifts within our highland communities. Cynthia Chin is a conservation practitioner who's had 20 years' experience working with local communities on conservation, co-management and livelihood projects. Author Liew Suet Fun has spent the last seven years living in Bario, Sarawak and Larut hills in Perak. She has written 18 books on Southeast Asian human society and natural environment; her book on Bario will be published in early 2021.
