Descripción

Social entrepreneurship and innovation are NOT easy. That's a proven fact. In today's episode, I spoke with Erwin Lizarondo, a mentor and coach for social enterprise startups around the world. We talk about what led him to the social innovation space, what his memorable experiences are in mentoring many different kinds of entrepreneurs, what social entrepreneurs need to succeed, and how to properly identify a problem and solution you want to pursue in your startup. We also touch on the social innovation ecosystem and how the Philippines has performed as compared to other countries. This is Ian Mia from the Philippines, and Welcome to The EcoLens.

Ep. 3: Safeguarding the seas with Aki Nodado of UP Marine Science Institute (Taglish)

What can we do to safeguard and protect our beloved seas? In this episode, I invited my good friend Aki Nodado from the UP Marine Science Institute to talk about her experiences in the field and how she thinks we can contribute towards the conservation and protection of our seas. We also delve into topics such as sustainable fishing and systems thinking, as well as why carbon emissions are bad news for our marine friends and coral reefs, to name a few. With a much warmer planet and the melting of ice caps across the world, sea level rise is also becoming more and more a reality. However, it's never too late to save our oceans! Welcome to The EcoLens, where we discuss the big and small questions on sustainability.
