Descripción

EPISODE NOTES Many times when we are discussing the issues of the day people want us to divorce those things from politics. There is this perception that things just exist in their own little vacuum. That couldn't be further from the truth. On this show we discuss why it's impossible to ignore the politics of the issues of the day. We'll highlight how without sociopolitical exploration we miss key context and contributing factors. We will also discuss terms like "snowflake", "white guilt", and even "reverse racism" Please subscribe, rate, share, and send in your feedback and questions. Thanks for tuning in! What if we're wrong?

On this weeks episode we discuss the farce of daylight savings time, college professors and grading criteria, and our main topic "What if we're wrong?". When we get into discussions, debates, or arguments we tend to engage under the premise we're both right. In this episode we'll discuss an internal strategy that helps us communicate more effectively, creates space for mutual understanding, and potentially de-escalates conflict. Being internally open to the simple idea that you're wrong is key to creating space to hear others and challenge your own perceptions. Not only does this make us better listeners and partners, it allows us to challenge our own ideas about self and our place in the world. When we allow ourselves to be wrong we create a place for growth and self reflection. Don't forget to subscribe, share, and rate us!
