From fathercoleridge.org [http://fathercoleridge.org] There’s been a lot of talk lately about the topic of false religions. For decades, people have been emphasising what is “good” in these false religions, even referring to them as “elements of sanctification.” Some even think that all religions are paths to arrive at God, that religious differences are positively willed by God, and that they all have divine inspiration present amongst them. This section of Fr Henry James Coleridge’s Preparation of the Incarnation [https://amzn.to/4dbEm4w] deals with this very topic. The Father Coleridge Reader [https://www.fathercoleridge.org/] is a new project partnered with The WM Review [https://www.wmreview.org/]. We’re still getting to grips with audio and the best way to go about making Coleridge’s rich reflections available in this format. Subscribe and support now, and things will keep getting better! Fr Coleridge's Harmony of the Passion: Four Evangelists, ONE Narrative

Have you ever wondered what the Passion of Our Lord would sound like if the accounts of all four Evangelists were combined into one master narrative? Well, now you can find out—because that's exactly what we have for you in this video. During Holy Week, we hear the Passion of Our Lord chanted on Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and throughout the week. Where possible, it’s divided between three deacons: one narrates, one takes the words of Our Lord, and the third speaks for everyone else. What you’re going to hear in this video is like that—but also unlike it... Father Henry James Coleridge was one of the forgotten greats of 19th-century English Catholicism, and in one of his books, he takes the four Passion narratives and arranges them into a single, continuous account—removing repetition where possible, but preserving the distinctive voice of each Evangelist. Absolute degradation – the state of the world before Christ

This is the first part of Father Henry James Coleridge’s Preparation of the Incarnation [https://amzn.to/4dbEm4w] – in which he talks about the progressive degradation of the world after the fall of Man, and why God waited for so many centuries to redeem mankind through the incarnation of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
