It's all about money; dairy farmers are still trying to get some dough from the Creamery; the HumCo Fair Board wants to raise another $150k for some reason or other; school board tests the waters for a bond issue; and so much more.

Regularly scheduled Fair Board meeting does not happen for reasons that are difficult to understand; proposal is made to give Planning Commission members a refresher course on proper procedures; CalTrans plans to do some kind of work on something or other; Ferndale kids need to step up their truancy efforts.

Continued coverage of the goings on regarding the Humboldt County Fair Board, including the possible establishment of a "press section" to keep unruly photographers in check; possibly relatedly, subpoenas were served on several Board members regarding exactly what, we don't know; Ferndale's Planning Commission dealt with difficult issues regarding...um...snooze, snooze, whatever. Lots of people ate beef at something or other. Lots going on in the Cream City.

A settlement has been proposed in a lawsuit that resulted from Creamerygate; the Ferndale City Council reviews its purchasing procedures in light of Tractorgate; the fair's bank account is looking decently healthy; there's some sports news that I didn't really pay attention to.

Ex Humboldt Creamery CEO leaves Texas penitentiary for a halfway house in the Tenderloin; as the date for the Lighted Tractor Parade nears, information comes to light that new sewer tractor was purchased improperly by the Victorian Village; surprise, the school wants some more money.
