The Future is Youth
On this episode of "The Future is Youth," we talk to Jeanine Gaines from the Sacramento Native American Health Center about local tribal youth leadership and community development. Jeanine Gaines (she/her) is a Citizen Potawatomi Nation and communications professional specializing in outreach to unserved and underserved communities. Jeanine has worked on local and state-wide behavior change campaigns, focusing on reducing mental health stigma, suicide prevention and intervention, reducing infant mortality, and increasing human trafficking awareness in tribal communities. The Sacramento Native American Health Center (SNAHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center committed to continue and share the legacy of a healthy American Indian/Alaska Native community based on cultural values delivered through a traditional, innovative and accessible patient-centered health home. SNAHC offers primary care, oral health, behavioral health, specialty, and supportive services in midtown Sacramento. They are open to all, and all are welcome.
