Tending all the invisible labor that comes with making something meaningful — the behind-the-scenes work that no one sees but that asks for everything anyway. I am packing up a life, room by room, preparing to leave a home that has held us through years of becoming. And I am mothering a teenager who is standing at the edge of her own — watching Olivia move toward a future that is just beginning to step quietly but firmly into the room.
