Young Motherhood
On this episode of The Girls That Know podcast, we enter into youth month by unpacking a very sensitive issue that a lot of young women in South Africa are affected by, but are never really given the platform to express themselves and the challenges that come with navigating being a young mother. I’m joined by yet another lovely guest, Zama Makhaye and she shares her journey and the challenges that she has faced as a young mother. She also touches how she dealt with the tragic loss of one of her children.
Friendship Breakups
This episode is a continuation of the previous episode as it is multi-layered and has many nuances so l felt that it was only appropriate to continue with the topic but unpack one of the many facets of it. I have yet another special guest who is very dear to my heart. Her name is Samkelisiwe Mgadi. She is a force to be reckoned with in the film industry and she is here to unpack her experiences with friendship breakups.
Friends VS. Acquaintances
On this episode of The Girls That Know, I am joined by a very special guest and friend Axola Mncono. She helps me unpack how to differentiate between people you'd refer to as your friends and people you'd refer as your acquaintances and how to set the appropriate boundaries.
Good Grief
On the debut episode of The Girls That Know, I will be unpacking my journey with grief and the many facets thereof. This comes after losing my mother earlier on this year.
