The Green Files
Hello and welcome back to the green files. I am really excited to share this episode as a collaboration with the Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside Wildlife Trust - part of the Wildlife Trust movement. The Wildlife Trust is a grassroots organisation comprised of regional charities. They have over 850,000 members and over 42,500 volunteers. In the conversation you are hearing today I got to know some of the youth council members from the Lancashire Manchester and North Merseyside Wildlife Trust. The Youth Council is a group of people aged between 13-25 years old who are passionate about protecting their local environment and mobilising for change. The youth council ensures that young peoples voices are key to the decision making processes of environmental work. Katylily, Tasha and Daniel share what it is like being on a youth council, what they have learnt and advice they have for other young people who want to get stuck in to their local environments.
