The Danger Of Self Betrayal
To know what is right and not do it will corrupt the soul faster than anything else To remain in intentional ignorance so you do not learn what is right will result in a life filled with avoidance and no meaning When you learn what is better, what is good, and what is just, you now hold a responsibility to live that way. You can not afford to know what is right, and not do it. The difficulty, my friends, is not to avoid death, but to avoid unrighteousness.
5 Micro-Habits That Changed My Life
Is it possible that, out of pride, we overestimate our current capacity to change and set unattainable standards? It seems to be. When you start a new habit that is so small that it feels insignificant, it takes humility to recognize your current capacity to change. What then do we do? Are we not to set goals or want a better future because we lack the capacicty to do the things that the future version of ourself is able to do? No, we are to recognize our current ability to grow, take the neccasary actions, and as we grow, our capacicty will grow as well. Humble yourself
It's boring, but it will change your life
Are your thoughts yours, or are they a collection of what's going into your head? Constantly, we have people telling us what we should want, think, and do, but what do we want? If we don't take the time to ponder what we want, we risk pursuing what will not bring fulfillment. I used to think money would make me happy, perhaps it would, but I am not going to waste my life on the possibility that worldly wealth would bring fulfillment.
