19th Annual Youth Speaks Grand Slam Performace Youth Speaks creates safe spaces to empower the next generation of leaders, self-defined artists, and visionary activists through written and oral literacies. We challenge youth to find, develop, publicly present, and apply their voices as creators of social change. This poem was written about my mother Michelle's love for the rain it once played an important role in her relationship with my father. Can I identify as a daddyless daughter?

Hey yall, hey! This week I wanted to answer a question I get asked a lot and in different ways...."What is a daddyless daughter?".
