We recently sat down with Coach Ed Cooley’s first ever recruit as the Head Coach at Fairfield University. Originally from Apex, North Carolina, Yorel Hawkins played four years for Coach Cooley where he scored over 1,000 pts (Career-high: PTS: 27 REB: 17). After Fairfield, he played professionally in Italy and Turkey and realized his passion was working with young athletes. In 2014 he returned to Rhode Island for his graduate degree at Providence College where he reunited with Coach Cooley, focusing on preparing skill-Development and team film sessions before practice. Currently, he is the owner of H.A.W.K Training & Development and TEAM HAWK as he works to grow and expand his reach working towards his passion of helping young athletes realize their potential both on and off the court. @teamhawkhoops @trainwithhawk #keepsnappin
