Descripción

In this episode, I talk with Elizabeth Mariscal about being one of the first FRONT LINE workers to receive the Pfizer vaccination. We speak about her history in the medical community and what it's like to bring babies into the world for 12 hours of her day. Liz is an old friend, the images of her in the cover artwork are the images we are speaking about in the opening moments of this podcast. It was wild to catch up with her and see these images from my very beginnings as a photographer. I'm sure this will get better visually as we go.

episode Casting & Adoption with Sheila Jaffe artwork

Casting & Adoption with Sheila Jaffe

Casting Director Sheila Jaffe and I speak about the entertainment business as well as what it's like growing up adopted. Sheila Jaffe was born in Manhattan and grew up in the Bronx. At eleven years of age, she found out she was adopted. Today, she is an Emmy-winning casting director for HBO’s, The Sopranos and Entourage and films including The Fighter, Rocky Balboa, and Ted. Although casting is her profession, Sheila’s passion is helping children. As she sees it: “Felix is like my child and watching Felix grow in its reach to help these children has been an indescribable blessing.” Sheila currently sits on the board of the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation and the Advisory Board of the Savannah Film Festival. In 2013, she was honored at The Children’s Rights Gala for her work with children in foster care.
