The Mentaculus
Happy Wednesday folks. In 1512, Michelangelo finished his work on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. He never painted another ceiling again. In 1969 Neil Armstrong (allegedly) commanded Apollo 11, becoming the first person to walk on the moon. He retired from NASA shortly after. In 1972, Bobby Fischer became World Chess Champion, ending 24 years of Soviet domination. He subsequently disappeared from the public eye. In 1998, Lauryn Hill dropped The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill to wide acclaim. She never released another studio album again. These are a few names among many who crumbled under the pressure of their crowning achievements. People reached the stars early on, and never dared to take the plunge again. We at The Mentaculus don't subscribe to that mentality, because fortunately, we are getting better. In our fourteenth week of providing you weekly content, a HUGE episode comes your way. An episode that any of the names above would feel proud to be mentioned alongside. Tune in for what is possibly the best cinema commentary we've had all year, and some more updates on what's going on in our lives, as well as the rest of the world.
