This complication piece of policy includes an elimination of the income tax in Mississippi. The Millennial Roundtable Podcast crew spoke with Kyra Roby, a millennial attorney, advocate, and fiscal policy guru at One Voice MS, to get the details on the policy, its long-term impacts, and the economic outlook of the state. More about Kyra Roby: Kyra Roby, Esq. is a native of Madison, Mississippi. She received her high school diploma from Madison Central High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi Croft Institute for International Studies in 2010, and she holds a 2014 law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. After graduating from law school, Kyra served two years as an Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Legal Fellow working to remove barriers to employment for people with arrest and conviction histories through expungement and other means. She later worked as a staff attorney at the MacArthur Justice Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, where her work focused on criminal justice reform and various other civil and human rights cases.
