Meditation is a process of enhanced focus and attention inwards away from the external input from the environment through our senses. Your senses are the windows to your mind. Getting into the downtime is key to accessing our subconscious mind. Focusing on scriptures during Christian meditation helps with calming your mind as well as drawing strength from within to cope with adversity. The more meditation and mindfulness practices you engage, the better the outcomes especially in retraining your mind; directing your will and having better control of your feelings and emotions.
