Descripción

Episode 8 of the Muddy Mentor Podcast comes to you in a different way—only one half of the duo is on mic this time. This episode wasn’t planned, scripted, or polished. In fact, we had an entire full-length production recorded for this week, but the audio turned out completely unusable. At first, I almost decided not to drop anything at all. I even convinced myself it might just be the “force of average” testing me. But around 1 a.m. Tuesday morning, tossing and turning, it hit me—keeping this show alive and consistent for our community is the priority. So I grabbed the keys, slid out to the whip in the middle of the night, and pressed record. On the MMP, we believe in progress over perfection. I’d rather bring you something raw, imperfect, and steady than break the consistency that we’ve been building together. A perfect production is always the goal, but tonight I’m showing up with progress and presence. Much love and a big shout out to Jamal Grant and everyone over at “Da Shop” for the amazing conversation we had. It hurts that the world won’t get to hear it this time, but trust me…when we run it back, it’s going to be even better. Alright y’all—I’m headed to bed. I got work in the morning lol.

MMP Ep.10 - Milt's Motivation

MMP Ep.10 - Milt's Motivation This week on the Muddy Mindset Podcast, Beezy and Milton take us from awareness to action. After last episode’s deep dive into poverty, redlining, and oppression, it’s time to break the “force of average” and step into the real work of change. From challenging your own habits to confronting the comfort zone, the muddy mentors explore how fear of success can shadow fear of failure, why discipline bridges the gap between potential and progress, and how breaking average starts within the mind. Beezy spotlights his friend Jevon Hudspeth (dooder2x on TikTok), whose sunrise grind inspires the fight against comfort. Milton shares how accountability matters most when no one’s clapping. The conversation ties individual growth to community impact, reminding us: if we don’t heal ourselves, we repeat cycles together. Youth voices weigh in on self-accountability, and Milton closes with a motivational moment about rewriting your story daily. This isn’t about perfection; it’s about progression. Tap in, share your story, and keep it muddy.

MMP Ep. 9 - Red Lines & Broken Blocks

Welcome back to the MMP, family. This episode digs deep into the roots of violence and poverty that shape our streets and our lives. We take you back to the Great Depression and expose the harsh truth of redlining—how discriminatory housing policies carved up our neighborhoods and cut off opportunity for people of color. This ain't just history; it’s the foundation of the blight, food deserts, and toxic stress that keeps the cycle of violence spinning. We break down how poverty traps brains in survival mode, making good choices feel impossible when resources are nowhere to be found. Through real stories from the block and science that explains why, we highlight why this cycle isn’t just about individuals, but systems set to keep whole communities down. You’ll hear the voices pushing back—youth perspectives, community leaders like Rob Pasker, and voices from Grits and Eggs on reparations and healing. This episode isn’t about excuses, but understanding. It’s about shining light on the roots so we can grow something different—hope, solutions, and something real from the mud. MMP Ep.7 – From Stats to Solutions

Your Muddy Mentors are back with another real conversation you won’t hear anywhere else. Then Milton steps in, sharing unfiltered stories and hard-hitting insights about family life and community struggles from the front lines. No sugarcoating—just honest talk about what’s improving, what still hurts, and why every part of the community feels these losses.
