Descripción

In this week’s episode, Amanda discusses why it’s so important to have a plan when you’re trying to start working for yourself, leave one job in favor of another, start a business, or make any change in one’s professional or personal life. However, she also discusses why it’s equally as important to make sure that your plan has an ending, and that you don’t keep adding conditions to it. There’s no such thing as the “perfect” time to do something, but there’s way to make it almost perfect. She also discusses why it is important to be prepared to start what you want to do (that new job, working for yourself, starting a business), but it’s also important to start faster than you might think and then adjust as you go, and adjust as you grow. EP 39: There's Never a Perfect Time (Part 2)

In this week’s episode, Amanda discusses the dangers of Motivation 2.0 (a popular educational pedagogy) and why having a goal that is forever just out of reach is detrimental to one’s mental, emotional, and even physical health. She also discusses why it’s so incredibly important to trust the plans and goals that you have for yourself, even when they do go right. EP 37: Overturning Roe v. Wade is a Human Rights Violation

In light of the leaked documents that the United States Supreme Court is potentially overturning Roe v. Wade, Amanda is discussing why access to safe, legal abortions is incredibly important. In the episode she goes in quite a few directions, but this just shows how the decision to legalize or criminalize abortion is not black and white (even though many people want it to be and make it out to be). This is a medical decision (and sometimes lifesaving decision) that should be between a physician and the birthing person. EP 36: How to Have Staying Power/Longevity

In this week’s episode, Amanda provides her listeners with three pieces of advice to integrate into their lives before and as they are making changes and choosing to go all-in on specific goals. These are three things that Amanda wishes that she did when she was transitioning from teaching high school to being a full time resume writer and working for herself, and she believes that these things can exponentially improve your longevity and staying power in what you do and aspire to do. EP 35: Put It Down Dirty; Pick It Up Clean

In this week’s episode, Amanda discusses how this phrase changed her perspective regarding the decisions we make and how we process what goes on in our daily lives, big and small. She also gives you feedback on why this phrase is such an important way to live your life and how it can provide you with power and agency during times where it can be lacking (and isn’t that all of the time anymore?)
