The Plant Based Riot
Children on vegan diets may have a healthier cardiovascular profile, less body fat, and surpass the exact same growth milestones as their meat-eating counterparts. Over the past few decades, vegans were informed that a meat-free diet could result in growth defects, bone mineral issues, and concerns about micronutrient status. In the past 30 years, vegan research was not a hot topic, and as a result, very few studies were conducted on the issue. Today, with veganism exploding in popularity, the diet is being evaluated more critically and research is showing us that the old folklore surrounding a vegan diet may have nothing more than more nutritional nonsense with no bases in science. Join the Plant-Based Riot as they revoke the folklore and discuss emerging research about children and veganism!
