Descripción

David Foster Wallace once observed that, in a consumerist society that venerates constant self-gratification, the hollowness of silence can produce a state of existential terror. Fortunately, episode 5 of The Quite Useless Podcast is here to patch up that particular void. Poppy and Jordan discuss box-office behemoth Wonder Woman, disagree about Marika Hackman's sophomore album I'm Not Your Man, delve into US mini-series Big Little Lies, and drone on about the essays of Marina Keegan. Doesn't that sound better than silence?

Episode 2.5 - Out of Harm: Wendy Woolfson

Episode 3 will be a little delayed in arriving, as Jordan is currently recovering from The Dreaded Lurgy, but to make up for it, here's an interview we did with Wendy Woolfson, the facilitator of a new arts project taking place in Glasgow this week. Part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival, Wendy's project Out of Harm mixes storytelling, photography, and film to explore young people's experience with self-harm. In this interview, Wendy discusses her inspiration for the project, how she worked with young people to develop the piece, and her hopes to change the way we approach self-harm. Out of Harm takes place on: Wed, 26th Oct., 7–8pm at The Glad Cafe, Glasgow Thu, 27th Oct., 7–8pm at Stereo, Glasgow Tickets are free and can be booked by calling Rachel on 07811394058.
