Descripción

More than forty-two years ago, addiction collapsed my early life. Before recovery, I served three years in the United States Marine Corps. After my service, I spent significant time in boxing gyms. These spaces shaped me in important ways, teaching discipline, humility, respect, and the importance of mentorship. They later became places where I learned about structure, belonging, and guidance. In my early twenties, that collapse unfolded through addiction, trauma, and exposure to violence, narrowing my world and my sense of possibility. The consequences were tangible and cumulative. Employment disappeared, relationships fractured, and the future narrowed. The night my daughter was born, I was arrested and spent the night in a holding cell, missing her arrival into the world. That moment became a turning point. I did not get sober that night. I got sober seven months later. But something cracked open then and set the direction of my life. patrickpellett.com

C.D. Matthews

From Dog Walker to Novelist: The Creative Journey of C.D. Matthews. Creativity often grows from unexpected places, and for novelist, screenwriter, playwright, and actor C.D. Matthews, the journey to storytelling has been shaped by experiences that span continents, professions, and decades. Born and raised in Evanston, Illinois, Matthews developed a passion for writing early in life. He went on to study at the University of Michigan, where he completed his BA and participated in a year-long writing tutorial at the Residential College under writer Warren Hecht. It was during this time that Matthews discovered a lifelong love for fiction writing. His academic journey also included time at Antioch College in Ohio and a year studying abroad at Université Paul-Valéry in Montpellier, France, experiences that broadened both his cultural perspective and creative voice. www.cdmatthews.com

Theodora Oniceanu

From a young age, Theodora found herself captivated by the power of stories. As a child, she would invent bedtime tales for her sister, weaving imaginative narratives that not only entertained but also soothed her fears. Those early sparks of creativity ignited a lifelong passion for storytelling that would later define her career. Her journey into the arts was anything but conventional. While her family encouraged her toward mathematical studies, Theodora’s heart belonged to language and imagination. She enrolled in the French-English intensive programme at Colegiul National Alexandru Papiu Ilarian in Târgu Mureș, later continuing her studies in the English-French programme at Petru Maior University. It was during this time that she discovered her fascination with graphic design while working for a job platform, where she developed skills in advertising, HTML, and business communication. This blend of creativity and professionalism would become the foundation of her unique multidisciplinary approach. https://theodoraoniceanu.wordpress.com/
