Welcome to the Ruvival Podcast where we discuss revitalization of the rural! My name is Andrew Toth, and it is my honor to host this podcast.  Our first episode is with Ralf Otterpohl, who is one of my mentors. Ralf is a professor at the University of Technology in Hamburg, Germany, where I was his student many years ago. After a career of wastewater engineering and research, Ralf's latest research and passionate initiatives center around encouraging people who are tired city life to pack up and return to the land to live in horticulturally-based small communities.  This episode explores Ralf's book, "New Town," how the garden communities he envisions might look and function, and how this vision can have an enormous positive impact on climate change.  Enjoy!
