LGBT individuals have a different perspective on some aspects of the pandemic than non-LGBT people, including the media’s portrayal and their own level of safety and concern. The S.A.N.E Project interviews Paint.Gay. Paint Fremmerlid grew up in a small Northern Alberta community in Canada before moving to Edmonton when he was 16. He completed most of he/him/his undergraduate degree in Disability Studies before experiencing a psychosis and embarking on a turbulent journey navigating disability, mental illness, and occupational wellness before reaching a state of complete burnout in 2019. He has since been diagnosed with a hypermobility disability and is coming to terms with living on the neurodivergent spectrum. He has survived a near-death sexual assault, medical gaslighting and has fought to be understood, speak his truth, and is on a continuous journey of growth and healing.
