A Candy Empire, Mississippi Shoe-Shining Wisdom, Art & Hustle, Pitti Uomo & Fitness w/Corey Knight
In this episode, I interview Corey Knight, a multi-faceted, creative entrepreneur in every sense of the word. Born in Detroit, but raised in Florida for most of his life, Corey embarked on his entrepreneurial journey at a very, young age. It began with building a “candy selling” empire during his school age years, and evolved into Corey building an amazing (creative) community via Art & Hustle. A&H was a curated digital and physical magazine/blog that touched on everything from art, fashion, music and much more. We touch on his figurative (and literal) journeys, as well as the evolution of his professional endeavors so as to bring the audience to present day, where Corey speaks to his current businesses with his wife. We also reflect on his extended family, his upbringing, and reminisce on some elderly wisdom. I throw a few curveball questions his way, and we brainstorm in real-time to manifest creative output that aligns with the mission and vision of SENSOARI.
50 Everyday (Strangers) in NYC, Fine Art Photography & A Quest to Learn Languages w/Alonzo Williams
In this episode, I interview Alonzo Williams - an acclaimed photographer and filmmaker based in the Houston, TX area. Originally hailing from the “7 Cities” of Virginia, Alonzo’s story is one of self awareness, as well as personal and professional growth. He goes from being a self-described introvert to someone, who on a cold, winter day in NY, approached 50 strangers (get it?), proceeds to then start “Everyday Strangers”, learn multiple languages, travel the world, and embark on an incredible creative, entrepreneurial journey. I also challenge Alonzo with a couple curveball questions to brainstorm in real time to hopefully manifest creative output that aligns with the SENSOARI brand and overarching mission.
Def Jam, Bad Boy & Avirex Jackets, Hugs in NYC’s Time Square & Vans w/William Leigh
In this episode, I interview William Leigh, a Bronx-born, acclaimed producer & beat maker, with credits to include: Def Jam Records, The Diplomats (Cam’ron, Juelz Santana) and many more artists. He’s also a photographer and filmmaker (“Say Can You See”, plus a recent Vans branded-storytelling piece, and much more). We delve into his upbringing, his evolution from music into photography and film, and we also touch on a few vulnerable aspects of his life. I also challenged William a few times, throwing curveball questions to brainstorm in real time to hopefully manifest creative work that aligns to the SENSOARI brand and mission.
