The Lion Man

From The Sinister District and the Great Beyond! Welcome to our twelfth show! First Half: Joining Michael Paul and Mr. Curbs, Sheri shares one of the strangest encounters imaginable, a chilling experience from the 1980s involving what she describes as a half-man, half-lion creature now known as The Lion Man. While walking her dog late at night, Sheri noticed movement inside a nearby office building and was shocked to see a towering figure with the head of a lion and the body of a man, dressed in a business suit, calmly filing papers inside office cabinets as if it were a completely normal night. Frozen in disbelief, she watched the bizarre creature continue its strange office work in silence, unable to process what she was seeing. Michael Paul and Mr. Curbs dive into Sheri’s unforgettable encounter, exploring what this mysterious being could have been and how something so impossible could appear so ordinary. Second Half: Sheri goes deeper into the emotional impact the encounter had on her, explaining how the image of The Lion Man has stayed burned into her memory for decades. She describes the eerie atmosphere surrounding the office building, the silence of the street that night, and the overwhelming feeling that what she witnessed was completely real despite how absurd it sounds. Michael Paul and Mr. Curbs discuss possible explanations behind the encounter, from paranormal entities and cryptids to theories that something unknown may exist hidden within everyday life unnoticed by most people. The conversation becomes increasingly unsettling as they explore how bizarre and unexplainable encounters like this continue to surface, making this one of the weirdest and most unforgettable episodes yet. The Bunny Man

From The Sinister District and the Great Beyond! Welcome to our ninth show! First Half: Joining Michael Paul and Mr. Curbs, Wes shares his deep research and personal insights into the Bunny Man case in Fairfax, Virginia. He walks listeners through the events that really happened, including his interviews with the original victims, the Bennetts, and the terrifying night when a man in a bunny costume approached their car, shouted at them, and hurled an axe through the passenger-side window. Wes explains how the true story differs from legend, clarifying that the infamous Bunny Man Bridge had nothing to do with the attack and that the real events took place in a cornfield. He also discusses the role of community memory, local rumors, and Brian A. Conley’s reporting in shaping the myths that persist to this day. Throughout, Wes emphasizes separating fact from exaggeration, giving listeners a clear understanding of the original events while exploring the mystery surrounding the attacker’s identity. Second Half: Michael Paul and Mr. Curbs then dive into the local folklore and cultural impact of the Bunny Man legend. Wes talks about the stories told at places like Bunnyman Brewing, the chilling details that caused some locals to move away, and the ongoing fascination with the case in popular culture. The conversation examines how urban legends form, why certain details get amplified over time, and what makes the Bunny Man such a lasting and mysterious figure. Wes guides through a detailed exploration of the case, blending historical fact, eyewitness accounts, and the eerie allure of one of America’s most famous urban legends.
