Descripción

The Conjuring put Ed and Lorraine Warren on the map but Annabelle put a very specific doll under scrutiny. Over time, the movie that expanded on the story of Annabelle may have lost its charisma, but it still catapulted the iconic franchise to new heights. James Wan may have not had a hand in this movie, but the crew did try to keep the same energy he brought on for the Conjuring.  While the Annabelle movie may have raised more questions than actually answering them, it did expand on why the doll caught the attention of the Warrens altogether. Tune into this episode as both Marva and MJ talk about this iconic movie, how its held up throughout the years and if it still carries the weight it first claimed to have when the Conjuring franchise was just barely getting on its two legs. Comment down below your thoughts of the film, and if it’s still worth the watch or to just jump to the prequel and sequel after watching a bit from the Conjuring.

Episode 76: They Will Kill You

Everyone was talking about how this film was gonna be a “great value” or “off brand” version of Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. From the fact that there is a high, secret society that serves Dark Forces, to the fact that a pair of sisters need to survive a certain amount of time while being hunted. Full transparency though, this movie stood on its own two feet and then some.  Asia is an ex-convict who answers an ad for becoming a staff member for a high society high rise, but little does anyone know that she’s there for on purpose only: to find her younger sister Maria. She literally tears through everyone there, fellow staff and society members alike, trying to find her. There’s twists and turns, with both the plot and how the bodies hit the floor. This movie is campy, gory and all the good in horror. MJ and Marva cut through the plot and the movie as a whole with this week’s special episode, so tune in and let them know your thoughts on this bloodstained film!

Episode 75: Ready or Not 2: Here I Come

What was probably the most anticipated horror movie coming out Q1 of 2026 for Marva and MJ is finally out and the two of them are more than ready (see what I did there?) talk about it!  This sequel picks up right where the first film stopped and tells the tale of Grace after the Le Domas family met their…unfortunate end. Grace is now accompanied by her sister, Faith, in this “winner takes the whole world” staked game of hide and seek. Throughout the film, you watch the two sisters try to rekindle their estranged relationship while fighting for their survival. The main question for this film is: will the two sisters make it out of this whole fiasco alive, or will one need to lose their life—even soul—to ensure the other one’s survival. This incredible sequel answers all the questions you had from the first film, while also introducing you to the complex world of those who are…influential to say the least.

Episode 74: Scream 7

This movie is arguably the most sought out film of 2026, and it’s none other than Scream 7. From the controversy that the film had during early and mid production, to the fandoms’ curiosity of how Kevin Williamson would tie in the story to what Radio Silence produced in Scream 5 and 6, this movie was bound to turn heads and have bodies in seats in one way or form.  Marva and MJ talk about their overall thoughts of this film. The horror duo go over the controversial film, giving their overall consensus of the film, while trying to figure out which of the films within the Scream franchise had the weakest reveal—since Scream 7 was starting to claim that title after the first week of release. This Ghostface forces Sidney Prescott to shine a light on the private life she built for herself and wanted to protect when Richie’s family took matters into their own hands a few years back in New York. Williamson allows for the fans to finally see all the skeletons in Sidney’s closet after all these years and determine for themselves whether she can still hold the title of “Scream Queen” after the torch was passed to the Carpenter sisters for a while. Needless to say, this movie will stir the pot in more ways than one.
