Descripción

Is beauty subjective? Or could it be argued that those who meet a more objective standard of beauty have it easier in life? Do lighter skinned and/or racially ambiguous people have to do less to be seen as beautiful? Does the bible create a racially driven standard of femininity leaving no room for realities of black womanhood? Join Rianne and Tolu as they discuss pretty privilege and the effects of racism, colourism and pigmentocracy on the western standard of beauty and the global church.

A radical and almost unimaginable change of direction. However, the journey to salvation was not smooth sailing with major setbacks. In this episode Rianne sits down with Joshua (Aaron) to discuss how he ended up in a gang, how he lost a dear friend to a fatal stabbing, why he gave his life to Christ, left the church and returned to the streets and then returned to God years down the line...
